As consumers learn about this techie-type of theft, searches for ways to protect themselves rise. And it’s no wonder Google’s Adwords’ keyword tool reports nearly 50,000 people worldwide searching for “Aluma Wallet†and for more detailed information about the other type of RFID-blocking gear.
According to Google, more than 33,000 people per month type “aluminum wallet†into the search engine, with 1,600 more seeking reviews of the Aluma wallet specifically. Some users get more specific, with nearly 10,000 per month searching for “RFID wallet†- and nearly another 10,000 per month looking for RFID blocking and RFID-blocking wallets. What’s even more curious are the nearly 15,000 people per month searching for RFID readers, making people wonder if those folks are looking for a new line of work.
